A collaborative, survival, card-based game were players venture through dangerous woodlands to find mushrooms.
It follows a loose dungeon-crawler format, focusing on co-operative tactics, adventure and combat.






Goals


   Learn how to create board game systems and mechanics from ideation to balance, including combat, randomness and player count.

   Improve communication and UX by creatinmg and refining a beginner-friendly rulebook.

  Develop my testing and iteration skills, developing multiple iterations.





Key Design Desicions

   Simple game loop - easy for beginners to pick up.
   Adding bite-size complexity throughout using themed instructional cards.


   Purposeful randomness improves excitement and replayability while avoid soft-locking.

   Varied testing groups to balance enemy difficulty and item abundance with different player numbers.
   Changes made to  navigation and inventory systems to enhance co-operative focus.

I utilised Adobe Firefly to create AI art for the game.
